Woman receiving Kenesio taping treatmentKinesio taping is used in addition to other physiotherapy treatments  to treat a wide variety of conditions . It helps ability to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, relax the muscles, enhance performance and facilitate rehabilitation while supporting muscles in movement. It is non-restrictive type of taping which allows for full range of motion. In contrast, traditional sports taping is wrapped around a joint strictly for stabilization and support during a sporting event, this can reduce normal movement and then alter the biomechanics of the limb and then performance.

We have 4 staff who are trainined in Kinesio taping and we can include this in your treatment if it appropriate for you. We also provide a service to athletes who require taping prior to their sporting events. The Kinesio Taping Method is applied over muscles to reduce pain and inflammation, relax overused tired muscles, and to support muscles in movement on a 24hr/day basis. It is non-restrictive type of taping which allows for full range of motion.

Kinesio taping is used for anything from headaches to foot problems and everything in between. Examples include:, lower back pain, knee conditions, shoulder conditions, hamstring injuries, groin injury, rotator cuff injury, whiplash, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, abnormal patella tracking,  ankle sprains and can help with injury prevention for sport people.
